Submission Guidelines

The Committee will review only submissions made in accordance with the instructions below. With the exception of the Presidential Address, the Keynote Address, and other invited talks, only those papers reviewed and accepted by the program committee will be accepted for presentation and publication.
Deadline:  Submissions must be postmarked by December 1, 2003.
Submission Packet:
  1. Three copies of the paper or proposal.
  2. A separate sheet including the name, address, and institutional affiliation (if any), telephone number and e-mail address, for each author, along with the title and abstract (225 word maximum) of the papers or proposed session. Please also include a count of the number of words in the paper, including footnotes.
  3. A separate sheet including the name of each author and title of the paper or proposed session indicating any audio/visual needs.
  4. The envelope and each manuscript should be marked: FWPES Submission.
Papers may not exceed 4500 words, including footnotes. Papers longer than that will be subject to editing or rejection without review. Papers should be double-spaced with 12 point type and 1" margins. In addition to the three hard copies of the paper, please submit a disk with the article in Word format.
Proposals should not exceed 600 words. Individuals or groups wishing to present alternative sessions such as roundtables, poster dialogues, interviews, conversations on issues, and other topical discussion may submit a proposal with references.
Session Chairs:  Conference attendees who are interested in serving as session chairs or respondents are invited to indicate that interest on a separate sheet of paper. You are welcome to serve as a session chair even if you submit a paper or proposal. Please indicate your:
  1. Area of expertise and interest
  2. Full contact information (mailing address, e-mail address, telephone number)
